Meet Gloria Allhiser, LPC

Gloria Allhiser is a licensed professional counselor serving the Fox Valley community since 2018, with over two decades of experience supporting children, teens, adults, and families through life’s challenges. Her work is rooted in the belief that symptoms are not signs of brokenness, but reflections of the mind and body’s remarkable ability to adapt.

At In Between Counseling, Gloria creates a compassionate space where clients can explore the places they feel stuck—whether that’s anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relational pain, parenting stress, or spiritual wounding. She brings a deep respect for each person’s story and works collaboratively to help clients reconnect with their needs, reclaim their sense of self, and move toward meaningful change.

Gloria is especially passionate about supporting individuals healing from religious or spiritual trauma and those navigating the complex terrain of emotional and nervous system regulation. Her approach is trauma-informed, integrative, and grounded in current neuroscience.

Gloria holds a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from Lakeland University (2014) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Studies from St. Norbert College (2004). She is a member of the American Counseling Association and is committed to lifelong learning in the service of healing, connection, and human flourishing. Meet Faye Bader, LPC-IT

New Chapter Counseling, LLC

Faye is passionate about helping clients work through depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, adjustment, and more. Having worked in healthcare as a registered nurse for over twenty years, she has a strong passion for helping others overcome difficulties of all kinds. She works with clients of all ages, couples, and families, using an integrative approach to help clients gain insight into their own story and choose how to write their next chapter.

Faye is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and treats children and adults with a variety of trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression symptoms using this technique.

Faye received her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling in May of 2025 and holds a bachelor’s degree in religion and Christian counseling, both through Liberty University. She also has volunteering experience as a lay counselor, discipleship leader, and youth leader.

Faye is currently an LPC-IT and is able to take a few insurances. Due to the limited ability to accept insurance plans at this time, Faye sees clients for a flat self-pay rate of $75 per session. In addition to in-person counseling, we offer telehealth counseling to make it easier for you to get the mental health care you need.*

*Not all clients or client concerns are appropriate for telehealth counseling. We will discuss this with you at your first appointment.

Children & Adolescents

We offer individual counseling services for children ages 8+. Parents and primary caregivers are a critical part of treatment and are expected to be actively involved in the counseling process.

Adults

Adults can utilize in-person counseling as well as telehealth counseling services when appropriate. And while healthy individuals make healthy couples, even then sometimes a partnership can benefit from more structured support.

the story behind the name

“And if I decide to become a butterfly,” Yellow asked. “What do I do?”

“Watch me,” he said. “I’m making a cocoon. It looks like I’m hiding, I know, but a cocoon is no escape.

It’s an in-between house where the change takes place.”
